what is your pregame schedule? do you do any little spell it out things that are a little different than the standard jumping jacks? Do you bring the whole team down, or in groups? How many offensive plays do you try and run before it is time to head in? Do you have music jamming with the local rapstar rapping on it?

one thing we do when we run our plays is this:
2 huddles. 12 men in each huddle. we combine the 22 & 31 packages, giving us a 2-back set with 3 receivers plus te. we run the 4 most basic "bread & butter" plays of our offense (they are the same every week).
just love watching those guys that actually scout pre-game....they are arguing, erasing....i get a big kick out of it.

I like watching the opposing varsity coach scout my JV team thinking we run the same offense. While the JVs are running 3 and 4 wide reciever formations with all kinds of motion and unbalanced lines the Varsity comes out in a wishbone and never leaves it the whole game. JV is throwing hb toss passes and double reverse passes the Varsity runs it right between the tackles every time.

Speaking of scouting pregame... early in my career we played a I/One back team. Suddenly in pre-game they were running Wishbone, plus they had all new starters... we were doing exactly what Huey described (arguing, going nuts)... after about 5 minutes I realized they were running THEIR defense against scout team... I thought those plays looked familiar...
As far as pre-game, we do not do much- form run, stretch, groups for about 5 min, run 5-6 plays...that's it. Oh, Tog, we do spell out jumping jacks "B-E-A-T-...(whoever we are playing)" It is a good thing we do this at practice too- it usually takes a few days to learn the spelling of some places.

We do most of the same, form running, stretch, O/D groups, offensive team, D team then we go back to our locker room circle up and say team prayer. How many schools pray before a game? Have you had any problems with parents, administration, players about prayer? Tog- Great JJ clip there. Is that from your personel video collection?? ;D

We had a coach in New Jersey resign because he was told he could not pray before the game with his kids. Just happened this year. He ended up coming back a few games later. Search goggle for Marcus Borden, East Brunswick, to get the full story.
Last year he was honored by AFCA,

I have done the same thing when we knew they prescouted. One coach told the officials before the game we were practicing plays with 12 people!
