Guys -
I'm going to be coaching a 5th and 6th grade team. Most of the kids will be 10 to 12 years old. What weight limits are normal for those ages?
Thanks.

Our 5th and 6th grade league is 120 pounds max field ready, for any ball carrier or eligible receiver.
We have no weight limit for the skilled players (lineman).

we divide our age groups more, we have one for each age (10,11,and 12). the weights range from 115lbs, or 130lbs for a striper( may play only on the line and is an ineligible receiver/ball carrier) for our 10's. up to i think it's 135, or 150 for a striper, for our 12's.

As you've probably already gathered from the first few responses, there is no normal weight limit for any age division. Age and weight divisions vary greatly from league to league. In my current league here in AZ, our weight limits for Pee Wee are 129 for 9-11 yr olds, and 109 for 12 yr olds. For Jr. Midget, it's unimiited for 10-11 yr olds, 144 for 12 yr olds and 124 for 13 yr olds. In my old league in California, the Pee Wee limits were 120 for 9-11 yr olds and 100 for 12 yr olds, and the Jr. Midgets were 135 for 10-12 yr olds and 115 for 13 yr olds.
There are many leagues that are unlimited, but have ball carrier weight limits. I suspect you could find leagues that will have weight limits for that age group of anywhere from about 100 lbs up to 180 lbs or even unlimited. For those that have weight limits, I suspect most would be between 120-150 for that age group.
I hope that helps, but I suspect it doesn't - I just don't think there is anything close to an exact answer to your question.

I should have been more specific...
Basically looking for "cutoffs" for kids who can carry the ball and play on defense.

That's exactly what I was looking for. As far as the defense goes...there is a local league around here that has weight limits for carrying the ball and for defense. Kids who are "double stripers" can only play on the interior offensive line. They are NOT allowed to play on defense at all. Kids who are "single stripers" are allowed to play defense but can only play on the interior offense line. Kids with no stripes can play any position.

Our ball carrier limit at this age level (10-12) is 145. TE limit is 165. No overall limit in our league at any age level.

In the league I coach in it looks like this:
4-5 y/o…75 pound max period
6U - 85 pound max for ball carrier & 100 pound max for interior O & D linemen 7U - 95 pound max for ball carrier & 110 pound max for interior O & D linemen 8U - 105 pound max for ball carrier & 120 pound max for interior O & D linemen 9U - 115 pound max for ball carrier & 130 pound max for interior O & D linemen 10U - 125 pound max for ball carrier & 140 pound max for interior O & D linemen 12U - 140 pound max for ball carrier & 160 pound max for interior O & D linemen
***stickered players on the D-line cannot stand up rush (no DE) They can also play on kick RETURN, but they cannot advance the ball during the game – whether on O, D, or specials. They are banned from kickoff.

grade 5-6: anyone over 125 has to be on the line (O or D) and can't carry the ball. If they intercept or recover a fumble they get possession, but it's dead at the spot. One kid in the league was 221, but his doctor wouldn't let him play. I laughed.
