We play in Arizona's 4A-II level, in our conference, the Gila, we play schools ranging from from 1100 students to about 1650. We were predicted to have an enrollment of 1412, but I vcould see that gowing to about 1500 by the end of next year as the exodus from California continues and as we start to take in more kids from the Tucson school district. Teams can try to petition up or down though in the state so in 4A-II we ave one team with about 600 kids and another with about 1800.

8 man here. I'm probably one of the few who went to 8 man following 6 years as a HC at a 5A (2200 students) school. I even did this on purpose (i.e not fired, run out of town, etc... interesting opportunity to go in to admin. at a school I was at- and loved- earlier in my career).

I have a hard time thinking that 1000 students is a large school, because in Oregon if you had 1000 students you would be 5A on the bubble of going 4a and we have 6 classifications. I know Oregon has less population then most other states so they have to have bigger schools.

by your definition we are a large school... 1700 kids... but were about middle here... CA has so many kids that middle sized school here would be very big in other places
Here the "big schools" are all the schools over 2000
