A team close to us does something like this (They play all their home games on Saturday, so that they can scout on Friday night):
8am - Kids come in and eat a light breakfast provided by the Booster's 8:30 - Offensive Review 8:45 - Defensive Review 9:00 - Special Teams Review 9:15 - Break 9:30 - Hit the field for a quick warm-up and walkthrough of specials, Offense and Defense 10am - Film (like 3 films of the same opponent) 11am - Break 11:15 - Another warm-up 11:30 - Positional Meetings - O 11:45 - Positional Meetings - D 12pm - Get Ready for game 12:30 - Head out to the field for the most organized pre-game warm-up I have ever seen. 1:30 Kickoff.
It really is a thing of beauty. I only know this because I spent a lot of time with one of their coaches talking to him about how they do everything from equipment handout to tying their shoelaces. This is one of the best teams in the state and if I ever had a program of my own I would model it after that one.

I had a request from someone to mention the name of the school and the coach.
Exeter High School Exeter, NH Billy Ball - Head Coach

Couldn't agree more- why drive yourself crazy and try to parent the kids from when school lets out until gametime? F-That... I say you tell them to get lost or hang out quietly until 4:30. I don't want them near me- daddy needs to relax a bit before the game... The same went for pre-game meals...too much hassle for too little gain IMO

That might be the greatest name for a coach that I've ever heard. A great promotion would be a Billy Ball bobblehead night.

I don't want to see them until then.

Billy Ball is a legend in these parts. He runs the Straight T and an odd front (with about 8 different coverages) and is generally in the top 2 of his division every year.
The Billy Ball Bobble head is a great idea.
