We have all taken our teams to Team Camps during the summer. Over the years, most every camp has something we really like and something that was a waste of time.
What are some of the best competitions, games, or drills that you have done while at camp. I've received some great ideas on this forum from coaches on here, and hope there are some more great ideas to come.
We are organizing our first camp this year, and want it to be competitive, safe, and as fun as possible.

goal line challenge with the entire camp circles around the teams (at a safe distance)
you pick an O put them at the 10, pick a D. O has 4 plays to score before they go have a coahc with a bullhorn scream out for the other teams players to stand behind the team you think is gonna win. it is a blast

YES! We did something like that last year and I think it was called "King of the Field." Winning team stayed on the field, but switched to the opposite side of the ball if they kept winning.

At the Boise State camp, they do "King of the Field" at the end of every practice and it gets intense.

At the University of South Dakota they do "King of the Hill" a little differently. The teams in the camp are split in two and are on opposite sidelines. The teams on one side are Offense and the other side Defense. Half the teams go one direction from the 35, the other half go the opposite direction. It's one play to gain 5 yards. If the offense gains 5 yards they get a point and stay on the field to face a new defense. If the defense stops them, they get a point and stay on the field. One team can only earn 3 points in a row. Halfway through, the two sides switch Offense and Defense. After both groups have played O and D, the top scoring team on each side of the field go Best of Three for the championship. Great intensity and competition.
