What is the official football in your state? Illinois has changed to the Baden football after years with Wilson as the official game ball. In the state of Illinois you can use whatever football you like as long as it is NFHS approved, but when the playoffs come the ball must be Baden. Does anyone have any opinions on the Baden football? I know several coaches who are not happy with the changes here in Illinois.

Does anyone have any opinions on the Baden football? We use the Baden Perfection and have found it to be very good for ball handling purposes. Our kids love it because it is tacky. Also, it held up very well for us in wet and muddy conditions this past season.

Oklahoma signed a contract with Reebok last year. Nobody used it, even in the playoffs, which was supposed to be exclusively Reebok.
The Reebok head-honcho was pissed and is raising a stink about it, which is forcing our association to enforce the "Reebok in playoffs" rule or risk losing the contract money.
I've never even seen the Reebok ball, but everyone I know that has says its a piece of {censored}.
Anybody know about it?

In Minnesota we adopted Wilson as the official ball. You can use anything you want in the regular season and section play-offs, but if you make it to state, you must use Wilson. You can use any Wilson ball that you want, but they provide each team with one or two GTS balls.

We used it for every drill and one day we accidently had a GST(best ball around) mixed in and my receivers actually came up to me and said coach why is there a j high ball in the bag it is way to easy to catch. Needless to say I was shocked at it.

Yeah, I am a head coach in Illinois as well...we have been using the Wilson TDS forever and my kids love it.....trying to decide if I should exchange all the Wilsons I just purchased for Badens or keep the WIlsons and just get a couple Badnes for potential playoff games.....Baden Perfection is the way to go?
