I've seen two features on other boards that would be great...

I say for a solution to that we all start typing front numbers like "4-3" instead of "43." 4-3 is three characters, 43 is not. I. Another way is to type "43 defense" instead of just "43".

Maybe a "general offensive topics" section, like the "general defensive topics" section? good suggestion ... done.

I just tried it at this is what you get "The following search terms were removed because they were less than 4 characters long: * 43"

Maybe a trade section... ;D just kidding!
I like the Formation of the week thing also.
Furthermore, TOG if you put the offense / defense you run in the sig nobody is able to search the members for that! We need a search possible function to put this down because maybe some other coaches run the A11 or the "sh!t we have never heard about formation" heck maybe somebody even plays with 9 lineman? WE DO NOT KNOW!
Let then coaches be able to get in touch with all the fellow coaches they need

Other than a rich benefactor...
if there was a directory of the Coaches and State they are in... that might help... let me know if I am missing something already here..

I am a new guy, so my two cents may not be worth much. But, what about an archives section. Kind of our own Library of Congress. Maybe take some of our best thread topics and stick them into an archive. Preserve them in their natural state. There have been some great threads. Maybe stick them all in a centralized location. Still allow for people to post and discuss them. But really, more than anything, allow for a place where people can find those great threads. I know a lot of times things are probably discussed ad nauseam, but someone new pops up and....there it is again. I like the ideas of further breaking the board down into offenses, defenses, etc. But, the archive could kind of do that for you. Keep the real important stuff from each set in its own separate spot.

ryse that's a good idea we try to sticky some of those kind of posts in the correct forum for people to see
maybe we should just make a couple of more sticky threads of some of the best discussions here

I really like that idea. I just want to say that as a young coach I really appreciate this site. It has opened my mind to things I never even thought about before getting on here. I would like to say thanks to everyone on this site.

An archives would be very usefull.
I think a regional section. Not for networking or anything just so we cant talk trash to each other during the season.

Maybe we should have a states section. So for example we could have a section for each state so if people wanted to talk poly grant instead of the main board it could go in the state section for California. It would also be were people could post jobs for that given state etc

new member here, really enjoying the site. i notice this is primarily a college/high school board, is there another site as good as this one that is more NFL oriented? or could we get a section for that?
