dcohio it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who ckecks coachuey when I can't sleep. Good post, BTW.
In my experience, kids only reach their potential when they are driven somewhat already and they trust you to a certain extent. If they aren't driven and/or they smell an ounce of fakeness about you, forget getting them to work as hard as possible for you.
Only been coaching four years, but that's my simplistic and short POV.
