Do not get the "System" confused with Air Raid. That might sound strange but you most certainly can be an Air Raid team and run the ball 50% or even more a game. System schools not only use the Air Raid concepts, practice techniques and such but they believe in throwing the ball as their main mode of operation.
Now of course that gets you wondering if use Air Raid concepts in your passing game but that is not your id. like many system schools are you still an Air Raid team. Doesn't matter because it is not about a label but winning games.

Franklin was right at 50/50 for his two years at Troy, but he practiced the way Air Raid practices to be pass first to set up the run. To take the mindset that I'm going to try to get to 50/50 run/pass I believe you won't practice or coach the Air Raid way. Also, most AR guys believe you can "run the ball" with things that actually show up in the passing stats.

To quote Leach and Mumme, "Get good at something." I don't care if it's running or passing, but get good at something, rep the crap out of it, and then build from their. If you try to get good at everything, you end up good at nothing.
