Will water and bleach cause some of the pads to break down? What do you normally do at the end of the season to clean these items?

I have never personally done it, but our head coach soaks everything in bleach including the helmets. Another coach has some type of spray(don't know the name) that he uses to wash everything down from the lockers to the pads.

Our custodians buy a solution called Ovirex that is supposed to kill everything. We soak everything in it before we store it for the winter.
