Coaches what do you do when you only have 22 or less players?? I am struggling to have enough for practice, and have coaches playing Qb and WR.
I need some ideas.

7 vs 7 Pass only 8 vs 8 Full line and RB's (no WR)
You probably have to let all the guys play everything anyway, correct?

This is my 5th year at a small school after many years at a large school, and there are some adjustments. Like Panther P said, lots of half line. We also breakdown inside plays, outside plays, sometimes half-line pass, rt side, left side, more plays vs air. What I've found out is 11 on 11 isn't as critical as I used to think. You also have to monitor reps because someone is either with the 1st group or playing scout for the 1st group. No standing around resting.

Coach your in good good shape.
1) you have 22 football players. Thats 11 vs 11!!
2) I would do like was discussed above... a) do 7 on 7, have lineman go work technique or whatever. b) Work inside run 8 vs 8 or whatever...have the receivers/DBs work technique with another coach. c) work 11 on 11 blitz pickup for your passing game. Not a full speed thing, but just blitz gaps and get your qb/line/backs working together.

Watched a pretty good team get down to 12 players, they blocked chairs in the gym for dummies. It was 11 man football and they prepared with chairs in the gym. The back up QB was the backup at every OL position, they had to call time out to change his jersey or have a player lay on the ground while he ran to the sideline.
