Anyone ever go through this,???Maybe it was the year off, leaving while I was still on top, maybe it's not being in charge of the entire team anymore, just the offense, maybe it's cold feet, but now I'm having second thoughts about running the Power T as an offense...I can't explain it. The Short Punt was SO good to us, I didn't even use a third of the plays in the playbook, and made it to the ship our 1st year running it. Given the situation I was walking into, with almost NO talent returning this year, I thought it was time to change, I wanted to try something new...I was going to run Spread, or Shotgun Wing T ...but fell in love with the T as it seemed tailor made for youth football, I'm just not convinced I can pass out of it
the floor is yours

If I remember correctly the Short Punt is double tight with all the backs in the backfield like the T. I run Keep Pass, 40/41 Pass and Waggle out of the T. I only pass once or twice a game to wide open receivers. Steve

There are lots of right ways to go. The Power T is a very viable offense... no reason to question this point. You should be able to develop a modest PA passing game also. If you really want to throw more, you may have better options. I actually like the wing-T because of its adaptability. I can tailor the offense to year-to-year talent, and I even have the option of operating from the gun as a base offense. Other coaches have their preferences also... spread, bone, etc... A lot probably comes down to what you want to do, and what you can teach. Nothing wrong with running the ball down the other teams' throat though.

This is a late post I know, I actually am using the T now with the Power I. It's working way better than I expected, we are actually using more Power I now

I agree, i think i was nervous about ussing something new, I swore off indirect snap offenses after running double wing for years.
