I ran across this on YouTube. It gives good insight into preparing game film for a coaching staff at the major college level as well as the general duties of a video coordinator. I know most major schools are moving away from using couriers and are now exchanging film over the internet.

How much is the initial cost of converting to trading over the internet? What equipment is required to make the conversion?

How much is the initial cost of converting to trading over the internet? What equipment is required to make the conversion? I'd recommed checking with different vendors to get a feel for what the costs would be. At the major college level it's basically a subscription service (yearly fee) that schools and conferences pay to the vendor. There's one company in particular (don't have their info on hand) that handles the video exchange for most of the major college teams.

Our conference has decided to use game film solutions. We just had a meeting with the sales rep and he said all the right things. Let you know how it goes after the season.

Scouting services should have the same film log. Leverage the cost, find more than one supplier....
