Just looking to see how others run their summer program. Personally I feel THIS is an area where innovation, in addition to hard work, can really make a difference.

I chose Other because our staff runs the program 4-days per week. We do power lifting Tues. and Thurs. with our quick lifting Mon. and Wed. We also do agility and quickness training after Tues and Thurs. and speed training on Mon. and Wed.

Our program is very similar to flexspread's... 4 days a week, lifting variety each day, we run (agility, speed, power/plyos) each day and rotate that as well.
We can not make our programs mandatory here. We can tell than that thay have to run a 12 minute run the first two weeks of practice... but those who make 80% of conditioning sessions can opt out of the run. No one has had to do the 12 min. run in (10+) years for us.

We go Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri
9am to 11am
We'll have two groups working out at separate facilities (Weight room and Field) - At least 1 coach with each group.
After 50 minutes - we switch
WEIGHT ROOM (50 minutes): Mon - Heavy Squat + Plyo jumps + supplementals
Tues - Heavy Bench + supplementals
Thu - Lighter Squat + Power Cleans + supplementals
Fri - Lighter Bench day + supplementals
FIELD: (50 minutes) Mon - Form Running & Speed Ladder - Speed work - Metabolic Training (spend 15-20 min on each)
Tue - Form Running & Speed Ladder - Big Tire flips - Quickness work (spend 15-20 min on each)
Thu - Form Running & Speed Ladder - Med Ball work - - Speed work (spend 15-20 min on each)
Fri - Form Running & Speed Ladder - Quickness work - Metabolic Training (spend 15-20 min on each)
This is the basic STRUCTURE although we will make tweaks to it on a weekly basis to keep the kids "fresh".
Our kids are in really good FB shape when we start the season in Mid-August and we have very few injuries related to overuse or not being in shape.
Both groups will finish together with a 7-10 minute flexibility period and for individual recognition for hard work and leadership.
