groundchuck sent me this link earlier today: d3football.comHeadline story is that Augustana College here in Illinois, one of the most successful collegiate programs in history, is cashing in the Wing-T and going to the shotgun spread. Here's another story I found: www.mchenrycountysports.com/articles/2008/04/15/columnists/doc48044011a64a1895210454.txtAugie won 4 back-to-back national championships under the legendary Hall of Famer Coach Bob Reade in the mid 80s running the Wing-T. The current head coach is actually an Augie alum who played for Coach Reade about 25 years ago.

this happens. I went to uw river falls. from 1978 to 2005 they ran the wishbone and then the flex bone. they had several wiac confrence championships and playoff games. they moved to a oneback, 3 wr, 1 te zone run game in 2006. in 2007 they had a freshman wr catch 95 or 97 passes in one season. in the bone years, they woud not ever attemp 90 passes.
times change. life is all about cycles and so is football. with every end there is a new beginning.
by the way, I really think this is the cubs year to win the series.

The cubs will win it all if they play the pirates every day... 6 out of 12 wins against the bucks. Don't get to excited. How long has Barnes been at Augustana?
