I work with 5th-8th grade kids in the central Illinois area. These kids come from economically challenged backgrounds. Most of the kids on our team live in poverty. We don't have the luxury of having ANY training equipment. Our list of equipment is as follows- 15 cones, that another coach purchased, and two-three raggedy blocking Shields. I went out to our community and purchased an old sled from our local high school. This sled is in the process of being sandblasted and painted. I just purchased new sled pads so the kids could have something nice. I have incurred about $1000.00 in cost to help my players. I am in the process of going out into the community and asking for money. I have came across some innovative ways to help train our kids. If any of you are in the mid west and are willing to donate some old tackling dummies, arm shield, cones, or any equipment at all that you don't use, I would be willing to come pick it up. We will accept just about anything. My e-mail address is mph06@insightbb.com My telephone number is 217-638-6069. Thank you in advance!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Coach, First congratulations on taking the time and making the effort to help out these young men! We will be purchasing new step overs for this season and am more then willing to ship you our old ones- mind you they are in pretty bad shape, very well used and all have there fair share of duct tape on them but they still work great as step overs;) May have a few other things as well- not certain what shipping will run us but will try to get to you what we can. Please forward a shipping address.

The Sled wasn't necessary, I would have spent the sled money on Shields, Cones, and other "Essential" equipment.

Coach Rich (ajreaper) Just wanting to check to see if you still have any of that old equipment. We don't have anything except for a two man sled that I built for about 50 bucks and a speed ladder and cones that I bought out of my own pocket. We can't buy anything new because of the cost. But Imight be able to come up with some shipping charges. PM me, maybe we can work something out.
Thanks,
Coach Alan

A 40 lb Box from me to Huntsville, Alabama would be about 25 Dollars...I'm just not sure how many 40 lb boxes it would take

Let me check with the Board and see what I can squeeze out of them. What color/brand/sizes are the helmets, we use white with gray facemask. What kind of shoulder pads are they. I'll need to know this so I can tell the board what I'm asking for. We could really use some shields and bags, if you know where I can get my hands on some of them.

USA Football has equipment grants for youth programs. I don't have the web site but google can get you there. Is a great resource for youth football with ties to the NFL.
