We kick two types of onside kicks: Mob kick where we kick the top stripe of the ball and get it bouncing toward the second return man on the front row left to right ( facing us) . We put our 3 fastest and most aggressive kids on that side and assign one player to block that return player while our 2 other kids go for the ball. Second one, same 3 players on far left. we bloop the ball over the first row but in front of the second row of returners to the far left. We look to get it as far as we can next to the sidelines. The other teams weakest returners are there and most kids hate to run left. When up by 2-3 scores we kick it deep with kids that have never kicked before.

We angle the ball in away that when kicked it goes straight up in the air. Most kids aren't coached well enough at special teams to call fair catch. We aim for 3 yards past the first rom, right or left.
