I honestly don't know if there's a set guideline in Iowa. We actually had a JV game canceled a few years ago because we played an IL team and it wasn't supposed to get below the threshold until 8 or 8:30 that night. Illinois is just as gross as CA and NY anymore.

Weightroom. And not even close. I would be willing to bet that we are in the weightroom less time than all of y’all, that our program is simpler than all of y’alls, and that our kids are stronger than all of y’all. Have done it at numerous schools. What a mark.

planck,
What is your answer to the situation? What would let you feel comfortable to return to work?

What would you like to see happen? What is responsible in your opinion?

Again, why couldn't I celebrate the 4th with my six shooters blazin in the sky? Not to get too off topic, but where I live (small town USA) my neighbors do. I hate it because my dog goes bananas, but I certainly am not going to tell someone else what they can/ can not do.

It's this kind of rationalization that has led to huge spikes in positive tests-COVID cases and deaths across the country. We are not going to change each others minds on this issue. My rationalization is that if you are afraid of becoming infected then it is best for you to just stay home.

How do you feel about crowds-attendance at games? Masks-social distancing optional? Or no fans at all? If you want to attend a game, go to it. If you want to wear a mask, wear it. If you don't want to wear a mask, then don't.
If you want to sit next to the same people that you have for years at the game, then sit by them. If you want to find a spot to sit/stand by yourself, then do it.
If you have a health issue and do not feel comfortable going, then stay home.
By now people know the risks involved. Leave it to the individual to determine what they want to do.
My parents are both in their 70s and have been attending their grandchildren's baseball/softball games for a couple of weeks. My mother has health issues and wears a mask as they sit in the outfield by themselves. She understands the risks and has made the choice that she wants to watch her grandchildren.

I'd like to add that we've had record numbers of cases multiple times each week for the past 3 weeks. This move is purely political because a member of her party is up for re-election in the senate. People are going to die. I want to coach more than anything else, it's one of the best parts of my life. But this is incredibly irresponsible.Everyone has a personal responsibility to do what is best for them. If you do not feel comfortable, then simply do not participate. However, if you want to enjoy Life, Liberty, and Pursue whatever makes you Happy then I applaud the state of Iowa for allowing the opportunity to play football.

This is fantastic news! I wish that all states would adopt this philosophy. Leave it to the individual to decide if they want to participate or not.

I dont know if you can find them anymore since they are shutting down operations. But Russell dry fit shorts are the best shorts ever made. The Russell brand is shutting down operations??? I am a big fan of their gear.

I have worked for several head coaches and the one with multiple state championships relied heavily on these "banned" sayings.
