Our smallest is about 5"10" 175 , biggest is about 6'1" 215.
Went to 3 state championships in HS with a line that averaged 185. I prefer quickness and nastiness over size. A combination of both would be great, but our water in this town isn't putting out to much size. Well...the water in our town isn't putting out much of anything right now.

6'1 195 Junior 6' 235 Senior 5'11 210 Junior 6' 245 Senior 5'11 290 Senior, we rotate him in and out his sub is a junior 6'1 215
I second Togs sentiment. I would take the smaller aggressive O-linemen that can get on there blocks a maintain their man...

RT 6'2"- 305 (jr) (plays 1st base and pitcher on the baseball team) RG 5'9"- 205 (jr) (could play any position on the field) C 5'9"- 250 (soph) (strongest member of our team as a sophomore) LG 5'9"- 215 (jr) (converted FB) LT 6'4"- 275 (jr)
RT and RG are best lineman, center could be the man if he only realized it- LG is over-achiever and will run through a brick wall if his coach told him to LT needs to get a mean streak

6'4 230 soph 5'11 220 jr 5'7 200 jr 6' 240 sr 6' 230 sr big doesn't really mean a whole lot though Agree 110% on that one; I think size is one of the most overrated ideas in HS football. I'd take maller & quicker over bigger and slower, other things equal. But, to go along with the thread, our numbers below, from the left. Appropriately for small school...we are small. 6'1 - 163 Sr. 5'7 - 160 Jr. 5'11 - 185 Sr. 6'1 - 242 Sr. 6'3 - 182 Sr.

We don't have a single guy over 200 (in a league that probably averages 280 ish)
Doesn't make much difference. We are 7-2 qb pitch problems lost us those two games.

LT (Jr): 6-0 215 (played varsity basketball as a soph) LG (Jr): 6-1 190 (converted RB) C (Jr): 5-9 180 RG (Sr): 5-10 185 (converted RB) RT Jr): 6-2 230 (played varsity basketball as a soph
Kids aren't really big, but they are all (except the C) really strong and can run. RG can deadlift 500 lbs and LG runs a legit 4.7 40...probably the only team in Illinois who has one of their fastest kids playing on the OL. Tackles and guards are tough. Weak link is the center.
We got away from having the big Buddhas on the OL a few years ago...fatties don't get to play OL here. When we do get a couple of fatties, we play them at 3 tech on the DL.

Small School, probably a little above average for our district, but nowhere near the biggest.

LT-6-0--200 So LG-5-10--260 Sr C-5-10--165 Sr RG-5-9--210 Sr RT-6-3--240 Jr Led the league in rushing. Sophmore is brother of RG, RG 3 yr starter, should have been all-state(we just lost too much) LG 2yr starter was starting FB So year, finally played to his potential last three games after coming back from an injury (wish I would have hit him with baseball bat years ago), 2nd team RT 2 yr starter, best pass blocker feet are quicker than his head, 2nd team C started DE last 2yrs gave up 140 lbs first game of the season, honorable mention
I ran off the fat, slow kids long ago, this group finally had the quickness and toughness to do the job.

Small school. We need better feet.

Here's what our varsity had
RT 6'5, 255 SR-big, tough, do whatever it takes to win, 2 year starter at RT, varsity basketball last 2 years, 2 year starter at DT RG 6'2, 215 SR-All-State LB, state qualifying wrestler, runs a 4.8 40, benchs 350 squats 500...D-1 type LB prospect, 1st year on OL C 6'1, 185 JR-not great, doesn't always play hard, best we had, 1st year starter LG 6'4, 245 SR-Doesn't want to play offense, has effort problems, strong/fast should dominate, 1st year on OL, 2 year starter at D RT 6'3, 220 SR-Not a great athlete, run through a brick wall, won't ever quit, 2 year starter at OT/DT

From right to left, we were:
RT--6'4'' 215-220 JR.--basketball type kid, but not the quickness or hands to play TE.
RG--6'0'''' 235 JR.--Great player when he gets off the ball, but is too slow more often than not.
C--6'0'' 270 SR.-- Not bad off the ball, but played too high and got knocked into the backfield too often because of it.
LG--6'4'' 270 SR.--By far our best lineman, will play college ball if he wants, but doesn't seem to have much interest in the nest level.
LT--6'1'' 225 JR.--Our best oline athlete; also our Mike backer and leading tackler. Great at getting up to second level as the wrapper on our counter tray play and when called to do so as playside blocker.
We also had a kid (about 5'9'' 190) who played a lot as a backup center and guard who will probably be next season's starting center. Not near the size of the kid listed above, but I think his quickness will make him a better player for us.
It pains me to say this (I'm the varsity oline coach) but this group probably wasn't as good as they should have been this past season. I'm already working on ways to get next year's group more motivated. Four of the six kids I listed are back, so if I can get more fire out of them, I think they will be the strength of our team. They need to be as we are going to be young everywhere else.

LT- (so) 6'3" 195 - hitter and is strong, but doesn't lift much LG- (sr) 6'2" 245- has good feet, and will bury you if you don't have any size. C - (sr) 6'0" 200 - slow feet, but lots of heart, and is smart RG- (jr) 5'9" 185 - strong, quick, and will knock your block off if you are unfortunate enough to get in his way on a trap. RT- (jr) 5'10" 185- pretty good feet, and is getting better
we have the LG's twin brother who is just as good and bigger, but he has been hurt all year and hasn't played for us. lots of schools looking at those 2.... one of our best offensive lines (in recent history)

Big certainly doesn't mean good. We have: RT: 6'1" 270 RG: 6'2" 345 C: 6'1" 220 LG: 6'0" 300 LT: 5'11" 285 TE: 5'10" 205
Our C and TE are by far the best blockers. Others are just big, fat and slow.

t 6-3 195 g 6-7 335 c 6-0 235 g 6-4 300 t 6-1 200
learned a valuable less when it comes to being a passing team. tackles small and quick, guards can be big and slower to stunt the bull rush.

RT - 5'10" 170-SR RG - 6'2" 230 - SO C - 6'1" 265- JR LG - 6' 200 - JR LT - 6'3" 200 - SR
Best kid was our LG, as luck would have it he fractures his fibula and dislocates his ankle in week 9 in probably what was his best game of year.
Most potential, our Center-has tons of strength just doen't know how to use it.
Hardest worker pound for pound-yet just stunk- our RT, he's small but played like "RUDY"-hard to keep him out of lineup-especially when the pickings were slim
