Big Ten---Overrated and slow PAC-10---USC is still the best of the class and a Healthy CAL is tough WAC--3-1 Those boys can play period... Mountain West--Extremely Talented and BYU is back Conf. USA--Sorry...So Miss always comes to play ACC--Poor...where the hell did Clemson go? Indies--ND & Navy...could not pull the load Big 12--Overrated and under prepared like the Big 10(11) SEC--Most talented programs in the country...with SPEED, SPEED! Big East---5-0 underrated and interested to see what Rutgers, So Florida, West Virginia, & Louisville do next year....

the Bowl season told us that undersized, fast, aggressive defenses will overwhelm, confuse and outplay a big, slow offensive line. USC, Fla., Boise, all examples!

Creative play calling and execution ruled the day. Offense and defense.

that nobody runs the single or double wing...that the team with the most athletes win....speed usually beats power. and that PSU is making a comeback

Florida ran quite a bit of single wing, not just when Tebow was in there either.

51 days between games can destroy a teams momentum.

That TV color commentators are like lawyers and preachers . . . they like to hear themselves talk. Felt sorry for Barry A. last night he couldn't get a word in edge. Three commetators are 3 too many.

To make sure and record every game and write down every trick play ,formation or wrinkle you could use in a bind...
Examples: Tackle Screen (Alabama) Hook and Lateral and Statue (Boise) Florida (formations)
Oh and Line your playmakers up anywhere on the field from QB, RB, Rec to sideline
The game is never over- Texas Tech and Minn
Just because your spread them out with athletes does not mean you still don't suck - Oregon
TCU- Looks to be the best team in Texas
Just run the zone read option and WIN ...dont get to fancy- Houston
Does anybody really want to go to Hawaii for a bowl game even if it is sunny with a beach- ASU
Find a guy that can kick field goals no matter how long he has played, where he is from -BC
And finally the Big Ten did not live up to expectations

...that I REALLY hate that "Our Country" song by Mellencamp, but the Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em Robots commercial was quite clever.

that there are way tooooo many bowls.
that the big ten produced as usual. they run offenses and defenses whcih beat each other but are not the best vs other confrences. taht wisconsin really got screwed. I would like to have seen florida vs the road graders and the mack truck. those 255 lb de would have been going up against 325 lb tackles that can move.

bowl season told me what it usually does - a lot of the analysts don't have any more idea who is going to win that most of us do -ESPN and others are usually quick to make teams or individuals out to be better or worse than they really are - the teams offensively and defensively that are aggressive and have some imagination usually are the ones coming out on top - it told me once again that we need a playoff system - individual teams get labeled unfairly as great, mediocre, or poor because of the conference they play in - bowl season always tells me that there is more than one way to skin a cat - different offenses, defenses, special teams strategies - lots of ways to be successful
playin' it cool - Luke

If we get a playoff system we lose that whole atmosphere we had last night. 45% OSU fans, 45% Gator fans, 10% Big wigs. Who would've traveled for the next round? I'm sure some but not as many as travel to their teams respective bowl games now. We'd end up with the Super Bowl type crowds for the National Championship- No thanks.. and a plus one game would still have people unhappy- I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be- nor as simple as people think to solve. Maybe I'm old school, but I like the fact that every game means something- I'm not against tweaking or experimenting- but I really like the bowls and the history of it all- maybe not so many, but I really don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be.

Until your favorite team goes undefeated with 2 other teams and your team doesn't get a shot at the championship. Honestly, I'm leaning away from the playoff system too But I think that's because we had a pretty clear cut winner this year,.

wingt-
I hear you- and agree.. I guess no system is perfect and I've just kind of accepted that no matter what system is in place someone will fell slighted..
I'm a Penn State fan and I remember feeling hosed because Joe Pa wouldn't run up the score back in the day to impress the voters..LOL.. Boy have I changed over the years.. You know what they say- "youth is wasted on the young" ;-)
