We played against Minot St... does that count?
I played at Rocky Mountain (86-89) back in the days the Frontier was a 4 school league... we always played a lot of ND and SD schools for non-conf.

I played ball with Shawn Sundheim. He was a DB and Kicker. JD coached me on the o-line. I am now coaching and teaching out in Harvey, ND. I grew up in western North Dakota and was friends with a kid by the name of Jason Cayko who was from Fairview. I spent way to much time at the Barley Pop and it "Forced" me to be on the 5.5 year educational plan.

I coached the OL at Minot in 91' and 95-97. I was also the head fastpicth softball coach. Ya, I spent my share of time at the Barley Pop watching the cubs with Ruby and drinking Grain Belt Premium on tap.
Old warrior, I don't think Shawn played their during my days, but I do recognize the name.
Good to hear from all the old beavers.

JD,
Are you going to the NDSU clinic on Friday by any chance?

No, but I wish I was. I have a track meet. It would be fun to hang out and BS over at wildwings. Let me do some checking around and see if I can line up a short trip. What are the hours of the clinic on Friday and Saturday? I may need to find a corner in a room to curl up in.

not to get off the subject while you gentlemen are catching up on some old times, but I was wondering if any of you had any resources or film on Carroll College from either of the last 2-3 season's because I really like what they do, but I haven't been able to catch up to coach Van Diest at the school. ?

Mr. Fr33ze,
Carroll College 750 miles or about 12 hours away from where I live. Due to the distance, I don't have a lot of contact with them. But you are right, I have watched them play and they do some really great stuff on offense. If you compound that with good athletes, you get a pretty potent offensive attack. My advice would be to directly contact their coach through the website. I hope this helps.

I played football at Minot State from 89-92. I am originally from a small town in ND and am currently teaching/coaching in Eastern ND. I lived with Paul Bills and Mike Picard for a couple of years and spent my fair share of time at the Barley Pop also. Good to see former Beavers on the board.
