I can't be much happier. The Chiefs are in the playoffs!!!!! Very impressed with the final week of football. Great games, great finishes.
Anyway, what is more exciting, Playoffs in NFL or the Bowl Games?
I love CFB. Maybe more than the NFL, but I definitely do not get as excited to see the bowls, except the BCS games. I think every year I tend to get more involved in the NFL, because of my anger with the College bowl system.

Depends on the bowl game...but, for me, nothing beats the NFL playoffs! There is no sport I would rather watch, except for maybe an Illinois quarterfinal or semifinal playoff football game...

Wildcat, do you find the semifinals in HS more exciting than the championship games?
When I played we usually had a bigger crowd at our semifinal games than at the championship. I couldn't hear a thing at our semifinal game my junior year and the quarterfinal my senior year. But both years the championship games seemed so quiet and sterile. I love playoff games, and as a coach I am learning to enjoy the championship games a little more.

The championship games are great, no doubt...thing is, it often seems that many of the teams are just satisfied being there...there is no sense of urgency at times. Also, it is kind of hard to "get into it" down at Chambana...there are certainly many advantages to playing the title games at U of I, but there always seemed to be a lot more emotion and intensity when the games were at ISU.
The atmosphere at the state finals doesn't even compare to the atmosphere at a quarterfinal or semifinal playoff game...fans are crazy, the place is packed with rabid and crazy fans, and teams are usually fired up and focused.
Biggest regret I have in the last few years is that I missed the Joliet Catholic-Morris quarterfinal game back in '05 (when the Dergo kid dropped 300+ yards rushing on the Hilltoppers). I listened on the radio, but it would have been awesome to just be there.

I went to that game. Unbelievable, tons of fans and a great atmosphere, Ihad never been to there stadium before. Dergo was unbelievable, considering everyone knew he was going to get the ball.
I agree with the games at ISU being better. We played both of our title games at ISU and at the time they had the better turf surface and definitely a more intimate atmosphere. One thing I don't like about Champaign is the size of the stadium, too big for a high school final in Illinois. I think another thing I hated when I played and still hate years later is TV timeouts, they kill the momentum and excitement.
