Some people say you can’t compare people from other positions so who do you think the top QB is. Also I promise this is the last draft poll I will make. I have to go with Drew Stanton. I think he will go to the Lions in the second round and Martz will develop him to be one of the top QB’s in 3 or 4 years. I also think Brady Quinn will be one of the biggest busts in this years draft.

LOL. I like Drew I liked watching him play more than I did JaMarcus. I think that JaMarcus wil be the biggest bust, unless the Raiders sit him and bring a veteran in.

Russell will end up being the biggest bust in the draft, IMO. Immature, not passionate, accuracy problems, overweight. What's it matter if he can throw a ball 80 yards if it's no where on mark? I can't understand the hype around this guy at all. Everyone wants to talk about Quinn not being able to win a big game (which doesn't make sense. Look at what he's done against big schools), yet no one wants to talk about Russell against Auburn, Florida, or Tennessee, where he played very poorly. I don't think he played exceptionally well in the Sugar Bowl, either.
Quinn's a proven leader, played in two pro-style offenses, strong arm, an underrated runner, and accurate. It certainly doesn't hurt matters that he was coached by Weis in an NFL-offense. I honestly think that if he didn't come with the 'Notre Dame' tag, he'd be the unanimous #1.

I agree with Fort.
Russell is a measurables guy, not enough on field production to be a top 10 pick (see Mike Mamula). Quinn should have a pretty good career. This year's draft doesn't have that sure fire star QB. I think Zabransky, Kolb and Edwards could all be as good or better than either of the current top two guys. I wouldn't count Leak or Smith out either, they have been productive despite their size.
The bottom line is I wouldn't waste a top 3 pick on one of those top two guys unless QB was my only need. There will not be a huge drop in your chances of finding a solid QB in the first two rounds. Pick the proven unique talent, Thomas, Johnson, maybe even Peterson.
On a side note, Michael Bush - Louisville, will be the steal of the draft. Just no one will realize it for two or three years.

I would really like to see what trent edwards from stanford is capable of. I haven't seen enough of him to make a definitive statement for certain, but what I have seen, he has tons of potential. He just needs the right coach to develop him and a line that can actually protect for him (two things he did not have at stanford).

Drew Stanton, though I'd love to have a JaMarcus as my QB.
Stanton may not be the sexiest, but he has the arm, the mobility, the smarts, the character / leadership, and the SIZE that you are looking for as a pro QB.
"talent" is subjective to how we each value attributes. Some folks may want a guy that can zip a 70 yard rainbow, some may want a guy that will kill you on bootleg, some want a guy that can call his own offense......it all depends.

I do not get the michigan state thing. they have talent, they just do not finish.

I don't know where you guys heard that Russell is inaccurate but from what I am hearing is that he may have the strongest arm in the league right now AND he is MORE accurate than Quinn. Accuracy was a ? last year but he apparently answered that this year.
That being said, I think his decision making ability is not good and I don't think it will improve. BUST
Trent Edwards is indeed a very interesting prospect but I think Quinn will be the "best" from this year.

I believe Quinn is overrated because he played in a pro style offense and played under Charlie Weis. Russell being inaccurate , I saw a lot of LSU games the past 2 years and can see the improvement. He also has the ability to make things happen which is a key for me.

I like stanton and the kid from stanford. Brady Quinn has been inaccurate at times, but there is some merit playing in that offnese and being taught by Weis. He teaches the offense the same way he did in the pro's. I also like Palmer has a big arm, makes all the throws. Watched him a few times on TV. In the end Quinn better work out especially for all us die-hard Browns fans.

Guess I'll throw in my 2 cents. I think Russell is easily the best out there but I also agree with coachvaughn that Chris Leak is going to be playing (and winning) for someone down the road.

I'm with Coach Calande - John Beck. I have the college game plan and had a number of chances to watch BYU the past couple of years and I think this guy can play!!!
