Fair enough.
For me and maybe Im just different or maybe it's because Ive got ties to the Show ME State that I like stuff thats been tried over time and worked in the real world from those in similar situations to my own ;D. Im a bit of a sceptic because so many things Ive looked at looked so great on paper or at a clinic but were not very successful when I tried them myself in real life. There is value in hashing out and debating hypotheticals and concepts, dont get me wrong.
Maybe this guy with the A-11 offense or whatever it is is off his rocker, I really dont know. Not the kind of football I enjoy watching or coaching, but I personally find it interesting. Would not work in my situation, with the limited practice time constraints and subbing required, but I find things out of the norm and innovative that seem to be successful interesting. If his teams win a whole bunch with it for the next 10 years and for the previous 10 they would barely win 1-2 games, that means something to me. He may be on to something, but if he continues to do the same as he did in all the years past, Im less interested.
Over time one would think if you had a better mousetrap the results would eventually follow. If a Mutual FUnd manager has a fund that has averaged over 15% a year for the last 20 years and another guy has one that has gone up 2% a year over the same time frame, Im not sure I care much about the reasoniing and philosophy of the guy with the 2% per year gain. Im going to give creedence to the 15% per yer guy. Along the same lines Im sure the DSQA stuff works, in that QBs that have gone through it are much better than they were before they went in. In most cases if they follow the program closely their stats and results probably improved. If the results werent there, Im sure he would be out of business. Hes on to something obviously. One would expect the same would be true over time in most endevours.
Either way, the ideas, concepts, schemes and debates are interesting and you can make your own rules.
There seem to be a whole lot of guys waiting to judge the A-11 only after they have seen video first LOL. One would think we would just be able to talk it through on its own merit. Im just one of those Ronald Reagan fans, trust but verify
