Everybody does a year in review these days, so why not here?
What are your best moments of the year in football?
What are your worst moments of the year in football?
and for fun...
What are the best moments of the year for you personally.
I'll try to start it well.
BEST MOMENTS-
1. Texas winning the National Championship- Hard to believe it was less than a year ago. What Vince Young did (and is doing) was unbelievable. I am not a Texas fan, but the game was so transcendent to all other games this year. Plus, I hate USC so that helps.
2. Wake Forest wins ACC. - I love to hear that. Not an ACC fan, but it is so nice to see a team that has less talent and no expecations take a conference loaded with talented squads who play selfishly.
3.Guys I know in the NFL- Tony Romo- Not because he is all popular and crap, but because he went to Eastern Illinois and I can say I know him. I can now brag and say that I (my team) kicked some guys butts that play in the NFL-example- Fred Wakefield (TE for Arizona Cardinals) was on ESPN a couple days ago catching the ball and I pancaked him my Junior Year(ok..fine....there was a guy laying behing him and he tripped over him, but still he was huge and we beat his team by 38). Boomer Grigsby- Chiefs- went to Illinois State with me...for one year....and I never saw him. But, still.
Honorable mention- Bill Cowher finally gets a ring and Rutgers has a great season.
WORST MOMENTS
1. Miami-FIU- Terrible...terrible
2. Our season- rough from beginning to end. You need more than 6 seniors to win.
3. Oklahoma-Oregon call - Costs a team a chance at a national championship.
Honorable Mention- Tank Johnson, The Bengals, Maurice Clarett, Marcus Vick, Albert Haynesworth, Shawn Merriman, T.O. - will athletes ever learn?
BEST MOMENTS PERSONALLY
1. My 2nd son was born Dec. 11- Great moment for any father.
2. My parents finally got a chance to own their first home and get away from a situation they definitely were ready to leave.
3. After tons of prayer, friend of mine finally found the faith to turn his life around. In turn, he helped to strengthen my own faith.
Hope this works out well. I am sure I missed a million things, but that is why you post something like this.
