Hardly a surprise that Brohm won 3 state titles (soph-Sr year) and threw for a jillion yards! Put a future NFL QB and a great offensive mind like that together (and Louisville Trinity is a school with GREAT tradition and a lot of state titles) and it's tough to compete against teams like that.

...and it's tough to compete against teams like that. Although Louisville Male manages to, somehow. Tough press man defense as part of an intriguing defensive scheme that stacks the studs weak and the numbers strong...

Kentucky football is dominated by Trinity, Louisville Male, and St. Xavier (Ft Thomas Highlands, essentially a subdivision of Cincy, is also a perennial power). Male, due to Louisville's choice based system for enrollment, has some of the best talent in the state year in and year out. Trinity has been dominant since their new coach (and Coverdale) have been there partially coinciding with Brohm's time there. Louisville St X is much like Trinity--rich on tradition, traditional powerhouse, and huge volumes of kids who come out for football every year. St. X is very traditional, as long as things haven't changed in a few years, in both its offense--splitback veer, Iso, power sweep, etc.--and defense--base 4-4. There's good football there.
