This year was unique for me--I took a junior high teaching job after 4 years of high school, found out I hated teaching junior high, and switched with someone in the special ed department. The pay was less (i had to be paid as a sub) but it was worth it to enjoy teaching again. Anyway:
Junior high: 2 hours of Literature writing, 2 hours spelling/grammar, two hours of Geography, one half hour study hall to monitor, one prep period.
After the switch, 1st hour--Prep 2nd hour--Freshmen English 3rd hour--Aide for freshmen Science 4th hour--Sophomore English 1/2 hour study hall immediately after 4th hour class 5th hour--Team teach Freshmen math 6th hour--Freshmen math with only three students 7th hour--"Resource"=special education study hall
Pretty sweet schedule now; again, too bad it's only sub pay.
