Anyone seen the TV Series called "Two-a-Days" Hoover High School in Alabama?
I see where the first season is out now available for purchase.
Has anyone watched it - would recommend it or not?

agree with kw. It sucked. I was very disappointed that it was so MTV. It was Dawson's Creek on a football field. And I'm sorry but I do not respect Rush Propst based off of that show. Now granted, I watched about two episodes and wanted to puke so I have a narrow opinion. But, the way he often times held his power over the players was pathetic. Not to mention his insane tantrums after games and at halftime.

I watched every show I liked it but I was born in the MTV age im 23 so I think some older guys wouldnt like it all my players last year watched it and we would joke about it all the time they loved it. And Rush was border line a jerk sometimes but I just think he is just a has alot of passion to win. Does Rush have a bad rep ?

watch it for one second, two kids were fishing and one was talking about hooking up with his girl, I switched it. Not enough football for me.

I'm 21, but i still don't like the show. People who know I like football are like do you watch that 2 a days show, but its not football. Way too much high school drama stuff. Its kind of like NBC's friday night lights, the book was awesome, but the tv show is way too drama filled. I like football, not soap operas.

I watched a few episodes today. I was stranded at the inlaws with my (11 mth) boy. I did pick up a sweet play from it...overall not worth buying.

I pretty much agree. I believe MTV will be replaying it several times. I recommend catching the replays, but not actually buying it. For those who did like it, season two begins Jan. 30th.

Enough football to beat the garbage that is on the other channels. It looked to me like Probst cared far more about how he looked on camera than about his players.

My players alos loved it, anything that made them talk more about football was good. Most of my guys watched more football on 2-a-days than on all of the college and pro season combined.

I only saw bits of it, but I thought Propst was a prick after seeing him threaten to sabotage scholarship opportunities for the players. A tad egotistical for my taste.

I think I'm going to buy the DVD series, because I like so concerned with who Kelly was going to go to the Prom with and i fBilly didn't go with her and if Billy went with Suzie, then she was like totally going to go with Jake....and OMG! I can't believe she wore that dress.....

I think there are much better ways to motivate kids than by threatening them with scholarships. I loved Propst hardnosed no b.s. coaching style until he pulled that crap.
