I am reading "Leaders Eat Last" Simon Sinek but would like something more sport centered.

Two very good books that I like:
1. The Little Book of Talent by Daniel Coyle...Coyle also wrote, The Talent Code.
2. Drive - The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us...written by Daniel H. Pink.

Get as far away from football as you can for a while.

Take care of yourself. Get in the gym if you have a hard time doing so during the season. Do something else you enjoy.
Stepping away from ball for a recharge is great advice up above.

It Never Rains In Tiger Stadium by John Ed Bradley is actually a really good book to read right after the season. It's kind of a biography written as a novel about coping with life when being a college football player (LSU) is over.

I liked Leaders Eat Last! For as scientific as it is I found it an easy read. I have not read these but would like to... - "The Score Takes Care of Itself" by Bill Walsh
- "Geronimo" by Mike Leach - already ordered this, going to read it ASAP
- I think "Swing Your Sword" by Mike Leach is pretty good too...it's really more of a memoir but there are some good lessons in there.-
Podcasts: - "Chasing Best" by Josh Niblett
- "The Coaches Collective"
- "The Coach and Coordinator Podcast" has a good variety of scheme/leadership/program building
I know you asked for sport centric but there are a lot of other good ones that are written for more general leadership but easily applicable to coaching... - "The Obstacle is the Way" - Ryan Holiday - stoicism, turning failures into successes, etc.
- "Extreme Ownership" - good not great...felt like I didn't really need to read the whole thing to get the point
- I like to re-read or review some of the John C. Maxwell stuff, "Failing Forward" is a good one - he is definitely more business-centric but you can easily apply it to coaching
- "How Children Succeed" by Paul Tough - teaching grit

I like to read and hardly read about football. Off the top of my head I would recommend reading Good To Great, Tipping Point, and The Captain Class.

Football books that I found really enjoyable just because they are good stories:
Stretch the Cornfield, Kiser Sweet Season, Murphy Namath, Kriegel Johnny U, Callahan
Like some others have said, I like to get away from "coaching" related stuff for awhile. These are all football related, but just interesting/entertaining stories. Stretch the Cornfield was a great find. It tells the story of the birth of the Air Raid

I got Maxwells Developing the Leader Inside you and I done even know where from but it was sitting on my shelf collecting dust and I ran out of books to read so picked it up. Really good read! Really good leadership stuff.

For what it’s worth the best coaching book I have ever read is The Winners Manual by Jim Tressel.
My favorite author and a funny mother fricker is Mark Twain. If you want to get a good laugh and get away from coaching stuff highly recommend everything he wrote. Short stories, novels, any of it is good and genius level humor.
