This guy schedules some toughies Menominee Michign, student population 550 beat in back to back weeks Defending State Champions. The kicker the schools have 2x-5x the number of Students Menominee has.
Staring down a 10-point deficit to the defending Division 1 state champions and top-ranked team in Wisconsin, Menominee came back and won 42-28 win.
"This is probably one of the biggest wins in the Maroon history," a beaming coach Ken Hofer exclaimed. "The kids really showed a lot of heart. Down 28-18, they stayed focused and made plays."
It was the second straight week Menominee knocked off a state champion. The Maroons beat Wisconsin's Division 4 champs, Wrightstown, last week.

Menominee is a great program. I played against them in high school. They also play the top competition from Minnesota too. They gave it to Wayzata pretty bad last season.

Their game vs Wayzata last year ( Wayzata was defending Minnesota State Champions, largest class, 3200+ students, Menominee BLEW THEM OUT)) was on a live internet broadcast and their last 2 State Championships were on regular Michigan TV, so there is tape floating around, I dont have any but have seen them play several times.

To be fair Wayzata lost ALL their talent off of the team from two years ago. It was a VERY this year for them last season.

To be fair Wayzata lost ALL their talent off of the team from two years ago. It was a VERY this year for them last season. Wayzata has 3200+ students . little "Hoosiers"Menominee has just 550. Schedule these kinds of games 2 years in advance. Very few tiny schools schedule State Power Golaithes with 2x-6X their populations. Menominee did it twice this season, both out of state gams, the guy has some guts.

Never said he did. Like I said, they have a great program, but the Wayzata team they beat wasnt the '05 team.
