I think that the two point conversion chart doesn't factor in the "time remaining" or likelyhood to score factors.
I don't like the idea of "chasing points" early on in the game. If you have a PAT team that is pretty much automatic, then take the automatic point. Too many things can happen during the game to make that 2 point philosophy irrelevant.
However, if your PAT team/FG team is kind of iffy...then maybe that 2 point chart is a good tool.

We pretty much think along the same lines.

my philosophy is 2 out of 4 2 point conversions is as good as 4 extra points. anything else is gravy.

We don't even practice kicking extra points. We always go for 2, and we were good on 70% of them last year.

I like to wait until later in a game to "chase" a point. You get so caught up trying to get that point that you can get farther behind. Of course that depends on how much you think you and they other team might score from that point on also.
The time kill things varies depending on how fast the crew sets the clock, how fast you get up from the ground, but it does give you an idea of how much time you are looking at.

I have the same type of chart, but don't apply it until halfway through the third quarter and if there is less than a 17 point differential.
