Have any of you guys had kids go to this? Does it help with getting them exposure to college coaches? Has anyone had a kid get a look from a school from going to this combine?

My kids have got mail they they would normally not. IMO it is alright and a little more repectable than some because it is non-profit and is run through the AFCA and your state association, just not some money making buisness.

best chance of getting your kids "seen" is simply getting game tapes to colleges.

The only think I do not like is the cost. It is $55 per play, per testing time...

Huey is right. Best thing to do is send in film to colleges. Too many times a kid will go to one of these and have a bad performance and they will get dropped completely by the college. Especially borderline athletes. Game film will never lie. Either the kid will prove himself on film or he won't.

We hand out the flyers to our kids but also inform them that all of our previous scholarship players have been offered based on game performance/film. We have also had a number of players get recognized during track season. However, I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that a student who has great numbers, might get a look or two based on their performance at NATS combine.
I worked the combine two years ago and can tell you that most of the athletes were not prepared for the combine. It is not as simple as watching the prep videos on the website. As a coach I would try and get them after school a couple of days and coach them up on running the 40, pro-shuttle, and L-drill. There are several videos out on combine prep as well as a few free resources on the internet.

As a college coach. We base about 80% on film and 20% on other factors. Like what our players think about you on your visit. Testing is something else we look at also. So in our opinion it helps to attend.
