We are currently renovating our weightroom. Have just updated the equipment and are now in the process of spending some money for painting, motivational signs/quotes, etc. I am asking anybody who has seen an awesome weightroom to share quotes, banners, slogans, what have you. High school, college- all are fine. We have some money and I really want our weightroom to look great.

Obviously record boards are great. I'd do two different boards though. One for all time records and one for current player's records. That way they can be motivated to beat former players, but also they can compete against kids they see on an everyday basis. Mirrors are also good because kids love to see themselves get bigger as they lift. But watch out they may start doing too many curls if you put in mirrors. Also as much of your school's colors as possible in the painting. Maybe your logos for different sports if it's an all school weightroom. Just some ideas. The last two are just off the top of my head. The records board though is something I've seen work, and work well.

"The road to the (Region/State) Championship runs through the Weight Room."
I second the mirrors, too.

We are just putting together our record boards - we are a 2nd year high school and our walls (besides % charts and lift posters) are fairly bare.
We will have 5 boards 1. Top 10 Bench 9th / 10th / 11th and 12th grades 2. Top 10 Squat " " 3. Top 10 Deadlift " " 4. Top 10 Totals " " 5. All time Later we will do a 6th board for body weight to strength ratio for the little fellers.
We are also looking for that inspiring message to paint across one of our walls.
We've thought of: Champions Fortify with Iron
Panther Ironworks Work!
We are still searching, too.
Please share!
