I think this topic has been discussed before but lets have another shot at it:
Head Coach is Speaking at Clinic this Weekend I am in charge of getting all his stuff ready to present....
So the question is what do what see specifically from your presenter?
Example: X and O's, Handouts, DVD's of plays, email addy for contact etc.
Add to this...or what speakers information were you impressed with that you have seen?

Handouts are nice. I like to hear about specific techniques and installation drills used to teach the techniques. Explain why you do what you do - what is it effective against -what is it weak against.
I don't like to hear about player so and so being the best thing since sliced bread and I am a football genius because I coach him.

SA - I am in the same boat as you. I have to get the stuff ready for the HC. He told me he was going to create a hand out.
If I was really nice I would basically do his presentation for him using DSV. I could make it sparkle!!! But!! I will be working the booth for DSV and will probably miss his presentation.
Here is what I did.
He is speaking on our passing game and our defense. In both cases I made DVDs for him. For defense he was going to talk about a few things for each position (DL, DEs, inside backers, OLBs, and DBs). I created cut ups for him highlighting the player for the coaches to watch (put a shaded colored circle around the player). Showed the play once in regular speed and once in slow mo from both the regular view and the endzone camera. In between the plays I stuck a Power Point slide .bmp. I told our HC that when he wants to speak on this stuff he needs to pause the DVD. At the end of the DVD I put his contact info. etc.
The DVD and the hand out combination should be pretty good.
Also, by making the DVDs I have basically started on making a training video for our lower level coaches and junior program.

i want to see endless pages of a powerpoint with a bunch of stats about how good this team i am particularly interested in how many yards the D1 qb threw for because he was so well coached. really, anticipate the questions that people would ask in a breakout session and try to answer them in the presentation most of what i learn at clinics is in the breakout, and not in the main part

Handouts that coincide with a powerpoint are always helpful along with a visual of the play or drill, like cut-ups. I appreciate the opportunity to buy cut-ups/drill tapes also since so much is missed during tghe presentation.

There are no breakout sessions (3 hours)...but I am sure that people will want to talk after the clinic ....

If there was a DVD for purchase at the end of the clinic w/ ppt...how much would you be willing to spend?.... The money would go to the football program

I go to a buffet and am surprised how much time people spend at the salad bar. . .that's just filler--go right for the meat, pasta, and chicken.
In other words there are some filler things you get at clinics that drive me nuts. I don't like hearing a college coach saying "this is no different than what all you guys do" because if it isn't any different than what I'm doing then why are you drawing it? I'm here to see what I DON'T do; I can draw up what I do.

when coaches will not tell you the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I want to see the secret stuff. I want to see what you are hiding. college coaches are good at this.
I once heard a guy talk on the bunch package but woudl only show one route. he would fast forward through the cutups so you would not see the different ways they did things.

What do I want to see? A clinic on "Football Scouting Methods". What do you do for game day scouting? Scouting opponents at the game? Breaking down film? What equipment to use? things like that. I always look forward to attending clinics.
