For any team you've been a part of either as a player or a coach what is the most points you've given up in a quarter as well as in a game? Just hit my new high tonight.
41 Points in the 1st Quarter 68 Points overall (They easily could have scored 80 in the 1st half had they left there starters in and had we not gone to rolling clock)

Lost a game 69-66 once. We gave up 8 TDs of 40+ yds. Our WR had 200 total yards and 3 TDs in only the 2nd quarter.

We finished the first quarter of a game up 56-0. Unsurprisingly, there were several defensive scores. Surprisingly, we had 0 passing touchdowns.

42-0 in the first quarter. They scored a TD on a KOR, Int, PR, Pass, Rush. It was brutal. Mercy rule kicked in with 3 minutes left in the quarter. Game was over in an hour. Ended up losing 63-0.

Not sure, but it will be tonight. 18 guys in pads tonight for the returning state runner up and ranked #4 in state right now. They beat a common opponent 64-6 who beat us 65-12. Its been a year. Can't wait...

76-56 Loss.
Nobody played defense. 3.5hr game. Down by 20 with 30secs left and I used every.single.timeout I had. Never die on your back
Most points scored in a quarter was 27 that night by them.
We've scored 32 in a quarter- all offensive.

I coached a team that lost a game 84-16 although I don't remember individual quarter scores. I do remember one game where we entered the second quarter tied 0-0...and went into half down 37-0...

A few years ago we were in a very weak district and managed to make the playoffs by beating a couple of teams in close games who just happened to be more awful than we were. Being a lower seed we had to travel a few hours to play a perennial powerhouse. Needless to say we were way over-matched. It was 33-0 after the 1st, 53-0 at the half, and 74-0 final. They scored 11 touchdowns on 28 offensive plays. We didn't get a single 1st down. It was the most lopsided game I have ever been associated with.

The most I’ve given up in a game was 63. But it could have been 103. Most in a quarter we were up 7-0 on the defending state champs after a quarter. Down 42-7 at half. Lost 49-7.

Gave up 63 in a game once. Don't know how many in a quarter but I guess when you get hit for 63 there must have been sone bad quarters there.

Won a game 84-21.
Won another game 65-32, but were down 21-0 in the first quarter! Same game...after we got down 21-0 with 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter....the half time score was 50-21 us!!! We had a really good running back who decided that he was going to do everything in that first half. And he did.

On the giving up points side- once gave up 70 in a game to an eventual state semifinalist. Lost 70-14, started 7 freshman or sophomores on defense that night.
On the scoring side- once were up 48-0 with 330 left in the 1st quarter. Program folded at the end of the year. We played another team that year, won 63-0 and they canceled the rest of their season 1 week later. Scored 60+ 3 times, 50+ once and 40+ 8 out of 11 games. We did not score 60+ in the game we were up 48-0 in. We were good that year.

The worst defeat was 70-0. They could have set a national record on us if they wanted to. Without exaggeration, it could have been a few hundred to zero. They were really, really good and we were bad and mostly sophomores in a large school division. I have lost a few by 50 along the way as well. The flip side is I have won quite a few by the same margin. We won a game 54-0 once and could have scored every single play if we wanted to. If you coach long enough and are coaching at "normal" schools I think it tends to balance out.

Most we’ve score in a quarter was 41. At the end of the quarter we headed towards the locker room until the officials stopped us and told us it was just going to be the second quarter.
Most we’ve given up was 37. 1st round of the playoffs vs eventual state champ. They mercifully ended with 57. Literally could have scored 157. As a matter of fact they had 9 points before they ran their first offensive play. Probably could have continued to block punts all night and never ran any offense. Very classy team though, we will appreciate them always for not embarrassing our kids.

Won a game 94-74 a few years ago. Was 60-60 at halftime. Wild game. Took a knee inside of the 10 to keep from scoring 100.

28 is the most in a quarter I can think of. Lost once 69-10. Beat the team next year 58-55. Crazy game.

Gave up 35 in the first quarter of a game once. Lost the game 49-28. It was the first game of the year and it took a quarter and a half for the kids to knock the rust off.

coachscdub What is point of this thread? Most if not all of us on here have had games where we got our azzes handed to us. And seasons when we were glad they were over.

Just had a blowout game, worst ive ever experienced, was curious to compare how bad our game was (more specifically our quarter) to others out there.

We won a game this year by over 100, gave up 62 to McKenzie Milton a few years back. Think we've given up 28 in a quarter at some point and scored 42. What was the final of that game....?

I don't really remember the scores of games too much TBH. Honestly can't recall more than 5 scores off the top of my head. And one of them was when Texas won a NC, which I had no part of.
I categorize them in 3 ways - 1. Absolute butt whooping, never in question 2. Battle where someone pulled away late 3. Epic game that was always in question
Only serious butt whooping score I remember is winning a game 78-7. I remember it because that is the highest I have seen but also for the play that made it that score -
I was the ST coordinator and our holder (scout team WR) bobbled the snap on the final PAT. He scrambles and heaves a prayer. Our kicker rolled with him, thought he was going to run the ball in, and absolutely LEVELS the defender trying to go up for the ball. So ya, we got a pass interference call on our kicker. Most bizarre play I have ever seen. But it was bad because the paper printed (2 pt pass failed) and it looked like we tried to throw a 2pt conversion to make it 80 points. People already hated us at that point too so it only fueled more animosity. What an experience.

Scored- 77 Given up-112, yes..112. Holy crap. It seems like if you gave the other guys the ball on their 20 without a defense on the field it'd be hard to score 112. Fun fact: Yesterday was the anniversary of Cumberland giving up 222 to Georgia Tech.

I never understand this. I get not quitting and all that. But i've been on the bad side of blowouts like that and there are times where we can't get out of there fast enough.
