My wife truely loves me! My wife is a football fan. Which means I don't worry about what I'm watching on Sundays during Fotball season ;D. However she is a Redskins fan. I am a Dolphins fan. Before the game we decided we would watch but we weren't going to root for either of the teams to win, just a good game. And that is exactly what we got. But I couldn't help myself. I wanted the Pats to lose. Not because I didn't want to see them go 19-0, but because I am a Dolphins fan. And when it comes to the Pats, Jets, and the Bills, there is NO WAY I could possibly root for either of them for any reason other than to lose.
Well after the second half my wife saw that I was about to burst. Despite her hatred for the Giants, she gave me the go ahead to actively root for the giants out loud! She wasn't happy but she made the sacrifice for the love of her man. Now she did stop watching the game and started reading a book. But I understood that just because she gave me the ok didn't mean she was going to participate. Regardless, last nights sacrifice made me want to marry her all over again .
I admit that this would have been a great acheivement if the Patriots could have gone 19-0. And it would have been nice to say to our kids that we watch this historical moment happen. I just could not bring myself to root for the Pats. I could not have been happier to watch the Pats lose after not having ANYTHING to be cheerful about this year (Fins 1-15 season ).
I agree 100%. Forget about shaking hands with the opposing coach. HE LEFT HIS MEN, HIS PLAYERS THAT SUPPORTED HIM ALL YEAR, on the field to watch that :01 tick off the clock. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE BESIDE THEM! AS a leader you do not do this.
Besides that one moment, this was a great football game. The Giants Defensive line should have all been co-MVPs with the way they performed last night.

Bellichik should not have left the field before the game was over, Randy Moss did that 2 years ago and he got skewered for it. Have a little class, your players stayed on the field to finish the game, you should. And don't tell me the "genius" didn't know they put more time on the clock, not buying it.I agree 100%.
