there are still more than a few teams running the Bone in Texas, some with very good success.
In these days with the prevalence of spread offenses I think that anyone that will base a offense like the Bone that is so different than what most people do the ability to combine a power running attack with the option you have a chance to be succesful.

Here are a few in Wisconsin
UW RIVER FALLS (DIII) - since 1970 still going strong Lancaster High School (WI) 4 state titles in 6 0r 7 years not to mention a runner up and a previous title in the early 90's. Somerset High School (WI) 3 straight state championship appearances (last 2 runner up - one was against Lancaster last year.) Rice Lake (WI) - LaVern Pottinger (made his name with three state titles at Belividere, IL) but just retired - same may be true at Muckwanago as Keith Hensler did the same their.
They are hard to find and that is too your benifit. If it is too popular it is easier to prepare and defend (less margin for error on a coach's part. It will never die - just like the single wing, probably can't find many of those any more either, but the ones you here of are very good.

The Indiana Wishbone Association was started (I believe) in the early 80's after a bunch of IN coaches went to Option Camp at UW River Falls. I don't know much about them, but the IWA guys talk about River Falls almost with reverance.

Statesboro High School in Statesboro, GA has been a constant power in GA running the power wishbone. No option involved. The quarterback was 6'6". Signed a D1 scholarship even though he didn't pass much. I think they won the State Championship in 2005.

I grew up watching Pottinger's Belvidere teams. We were a smaller class so we never played them, but since their season always lasted longer than ours I would drive over and watch them deep in the playoffs. His Rice Lake teams were pretty good too. I thought Oak Creek WI ran the bone as well.
Illinois Teams: Stillman Valley, Sterling Newman, Galena Minnesota: Albany, Glencoe-Silver Lake (GSL run a lot of flexbone too)
All those teams I mention have multiple state titles also.
Now a while ago I thought I read that Mesquite (TX) ran the bone triple option. Is that right?

Chenango Forks, New York. They've played in the state title game every year this decade (won 3).
