I'll be there.
I agree with newcoach05, the speaker list looks awfully thin compared to last year.
Oh well, better than nothing... still a great chance to listen to some great coaches and talk football.

I disagree there are plenty of good speakers that I am very excited about hearing.

I like the speakers but I'm biased because my boss is one of them. What bums me is the lack of free food and, it looks, socials. "Socialize on your own"? What the hell is that?

I'll be there with the staff. We are looking to install a new offense this year. The spread with no huddle. If anyone would meet with us to discuss how they implement their own no huddle system we would love to talk this week end. Have a Good and Educational time..

Coach - We'll be there and would love to discuss. We're in the process of switching offenses to, same boat as you, so it might not hurt to bounce ideas off eachother...

What'd you guys think?
To be honest I was a little disappointed in the Nike keynote speakers. Leavitt was good, but Harbaugh, Danantonio and Saban spoke way too much on college-level issues I thought. The HS speakers were the most informational, IMO.

I just got back and we picked up a lot of good stuff. The hotel (Westfield Marriott Washington Dulles) was another matter. They pinched every penny to the Nth degree. The hotel was very nice and the people were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The place damn near had a surcharge for oxygen, though.
$9.95 per night for internet access in the room? That's a joke. Super 8 has free internet. They said that there was wireless access in the lobby, implying that it was free, but they wanted a credit card number.
They didn't have a social. I'm told that the reason was that the hotel woudn't let them. I've never been to a big clinic where there wasn't a social until this one. Friday night the schedule said "Socialize on you own". Turns out that that meant that it was OK to go to the hotel bar and pay $5.50 beer. To me the social is an integral part of the clinic.
I got some good info but I'll never go back as long as it's at the same place.

went to the coy at Tunica - liked it - still prefer Glazier No question,Glazier's better. The boss spoke at this one. That's why we went. I haven't been to a Glazier in a long time. They used to have a policy, I think of not having HCs speak. They only had college assistants and HS coaches speak. Real oldtimers who went when Glazier actually ran the clinics say they'd seen the guy pull speakers off of the stage if they insisted in tossing out too much BS.

i've only been to one glazier and never been to a COY, but I was thoroughly impressed w/ the glazier. I'm going to the one in Lancaster, pa in march and am looking forward to it. The line up of glazier speakers and topics make it an almost ideal situation for someone or staff looking for a wide variety.
