just curious how you change the tempo of your no huddle, we will have fast paced and a check (slower) paced tempo. i know how i want to use the tempos, just curious how you change them mid-series?
or do you just stay with one for the entire series, thanks,

We have the usual tempos - our regular no huddle which is simply get lined up and listen for the play. If the defense is napping, we have a QB sneak call and a quick fade to our WR.
If we want to try and catch the defense napping after they get used to our basic speed, then we tell our kids - usually starting with the playside WR - "Go Go" and they simply relay it verbally one man at a time. Frequently the 2nd or 3rd play at this tempo really catches the other team off guard.
Finally we just say "Hurry UP" if we are in a 2:00 situation.

We use tempos extensively - and we change the tempo play to play. We are spread, no huddle. As soon as one play ends, the OC is signalling tempo and formation in to the QB, RB and WR's. The QB calls the tempo to the line. We use a bunch of tempos that each has a few calls, so the defense never knows what we are doing. They just know they have to run back to the LOS and get in their stances, ready to go.

Bulldog. that is exactly what we do with our no huddle spread offense.
Its nice to know that other people are doing it the same way.

Tempo changes can improve your offense tremoundously. We use Normal, Indy and Look tempo. We are also adding Turbo this year, going on first sound out of the huddle using condensed formations. We do alot of double calling in the huddle.
