The TRIPLE WING ;D ;D ;D Okay, so its not a new "offense" but it would be kinda cool to run some air raid/bunch stuff out of combined with some QB zones & powers.

I recall a coach that had a good running QB and ran Ace alot. He would change things up and use 2 variations of an empty (2 TE) look. Gave us fits on how to adjust defensively. The only thing that hurt them is that the kid couldnt throw.

why not try this formation with what you are doing?
-----------O-O-X-O-O-O-O---------------- -------------------------------O-O-O-------
-----------------O---------------------------
This would be very effective with a great running QB. Just my thoughts.

At some point I think there is a thing as too many people at the point of attack. I understand the idea of putting al those guys over there to block, but eventually you will just end up blocking yourself and allowing the defense to flow and make the tackle. Not saying its a bad idea for a change of pace and what not though.

the empty double tight trey...always to field always to an overload- move the single wing to right of qb and then you have the option/dive and sneak with power plus the "oh crap" DC DEF adjustment- throw motions into that darn thing and hey it could work real well. AYE CARAMBA! CRL

Just my thoughts. We run this formation as part of our DW package, but we haven't gone unbalanced with it yet. It was very good to us on 2pt. conversions last season.

Yes it is an interesting idea, but is anyone going to hang their hat on it? Are there any coaches from Menominee on this board who can comment on how/why this works for them?

Okay, so its not a new "offense" but it would be kinda cool to run some air raid/bunch stuff out of combined with some QB zones & powers. Coach: Dutch Meyer, TCU, c. 1937. Then he spread both ends and invented the "modern" spread shotgun formation...

don't DWers call this "Crunch" or "Tandem"?

TRIPLE C
---------------OOOOOOO------------------------------------------- --------------------------OOO-------------------------------------- -------------------O------------------------------------------------
Our left wing is our A back, our FB is our B back, and our right wing is the C back, so this gives the appearance of having three C backs and we call it Triple C. We run about three running plays and two passes from this formation.

Maybe if you add a checkerboard field...it would work even better. 1937 TCU...maybe thats why they haven't won anything in 48 years, maybe God is not a DWer.
