I would work on split days with O on day 1 with a little time just setting up our D as "scout" via cards. D is on day 2 with our offense on cards as scout
It gives you 3 full days of O and 3 full days of D in the first week but you're always running your O vs your D so every day gets your defensive techniques in a 1on1 for WR/DB and it's your pass skel vs your O on an offensive pass skelly day. etc etc. Got us out in less than 2 hours on the field.
I felt in the heat even going at 8am can be brutal and we all need massive recovery time.
