Coaches - if you're getting our emails, you know we're announcing a lot of our college speakers for the upcoming clinic season. From the FBS schools, we've got speakers from places like Michigan State, Kentucky, Cal, Purdue, Army, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Utah, Boise, Auburn...and many more.
Who are you most excited to hear? Who should we invite to speak that isn't currently on our radar (any level)?

Invite:
Paul Johnson( pay him whatever he wants)
Anybody from Nick saban or kirby smarts defensive staff.
Jeff monken. So he can talk about his gap veer series I stead of the traditional zone veer.

Love that, Coach Brandon...thanks for the ideas. As a former flexbone quarterback in high school and at Air Force, I appreciate those suggestions...very close to my heart! In fact, I learned the triple option from Paul Johnson at his camp one summer when he was at Georgia Southern. Good stuff. Thanks.

Not college but you should get Steve Jones from Kimberly High School in Wisconsin. He will give the best program building talk anyone will hear.

I MUCH prefer to listen to high school coaches speak on topics of scheme and program building. I do enjoy watching the college and pro presentations about fundamentals...they tend to have better practice/drill video compared to high school coaches. But when it comes to schemes and program development, the college and pro guys are living in a different world.

Sean McVay would be awesome, for sure...tough to get NFL head guys, but we'll look into it.

We try to keep a good mix of levels within each clinic for reasons just like this. Thanks for your input, Coach...I'll pass it along to the team that builds our clinics.

I always prefer the High school coach, over the college coach, and usually the guy from a "middle" of the road school, not these year in, year out Maxpreps top 25 teams that always have the best players in the area. I think it would be great if Glazier, would try to get, two out of the area high school coaches (if the clinic is out West, get a guy from the midwest or back east and vice versa) at each clinic.

Unpopular opinion possibly but from my experience the best speakers are your small college speakers.
They’re the hungriest to earn their peers’ respect, have modest at best talent to work with so they have to be unique with their scheme and they want our kids. Two thirds of the P5 and NFL speakers I’ve seen give very generalized presentations that any above average HS coach could give

Have heard numerous people discuss it but no REAL insight from THEM on how they do it. Would also like to hear a lot more about their zone dive. Lots of speculation on it but again, always best to hear it straight from the "horses mouth". Thanks for asking.

This times a million. The college drills and fundies are phenomenal. But the High School schematic stuff is much more helpful. And yes there are way too many "powerhouse" speakers. The programs with multiple high level d1 kids and players coming out of their ears. I was watching a state powerhouse DL coach speak once in Vegas. He was talking about how each 4 DL positions had completely different roles, techniques, and responsibilities. So a backup nose wouldn't be able to slide in at DT, one DE couldn't go to the other, etc. I promptly walked out to find something else. So yes instead of the state champ powerhouse programs, the consistently above average playoff teams tend to give better and more applicable coaching bits for us "commoners"

Thanks, Coach Vint. Coaches - if you're a James Vint fan, you've got to be at a Glazier Clinic in Baltimore, North Jersey/NYC, or St. Louis this year! In both Baltimore and North Jersey/NYC, he's covering offense, defense, and program-building...including Chalk Wars in each location. No defense in St. Louis, but he's got six offensive sessions, a Chalk War using his pistol offense, and a character & culture session. Don't miss out!

Jim Wendler- strength coach at London High School in Ohio and internationally known author speaker Jay Bateman- defensive coordinator at Army Thanks for these names, Coach. Good call on Jay Bateman...we've got him scheduled for Friday afternoon in the Glazier Northern VA/DC clinic, Mar 1 - 3. Hope you'll be there! We'll check out Coach Wendler, too.

Thanks for your feedback guys. Really appreciate your thoughts on the level of the coach and how that impacts the value of his sessions...super helpful for us as we continue filling out our speaker lineups.
We're reading all this very closely, so keep the feedback coming!

We were in touch with Coach Wells before he left Utah State, and we're in the process of trying to get engaged with him and his staff now that they're at Tech...obviously they've been pretty swamped the last few days. We'll keep trying. Let us know if you've got any specific Cali JuCo guys in mind.

I'd love to hear from the coaches at Valdosta State, preferably from their offensive side of the ball. They broke a number of records this year.

Another Triple Option Coach would be Wade Lang from Wofford College, been running it for years and is very willing to share as much as I have known him.
Some assistants that might also be good on that topic: Sheil Wood at Ga Tech, Aaron Johnson at Wofford. Both played in the system and have also coached it. Wood was at Wofford and GaTech.

We'd be all triple option, all the time if I were building clinics myself!
