HEY COACH
i coach the RB i don't think u can teach that, i think it is just instincts, but u should make them aware of it,by having good vision.
we had a kid jump a defender on trap and run 70yds for the score,as much as i would like to say i show him how to do it he made great play.

I have also seen kids try and jump over a defender only not to see the other defender comming in to make the kill shot on the rb

we teach them to never leave their feet, but every now and again they use insticts and jump with results being mixed

Well...if I could see the article without the filter....thinking...hmmm...last week kid hurdles our defender and runs for a touchdown...on his was to 380 something yards and 8 td's or something of that nature...is this an article about that? if so the Worst thing is we had 500 yards of offense and still lost by 30

Obviously, if you guys teach your backs to hurdle, you HAVE to show videos of the Leonard Leap, lol:

You think Leonard is gonna be a FB or a HB in the pros? 3rd down back? Jim Jensen type maybe...I dunno. Kid can play thats for sure.

He'd be a good H back like Chris Cooley is for Washington

I think that he can be a regular every down type back like Alstott or even Bettis in their day or was. He can run, catch, and as he has shown this year...block. He has become the back which every coach would like to have. He's not Adrian Peterson or whatnot but he can do alot of things that can hurt a defense BIG TIME.
