We are working on new uniforms for 2019 season. Honestly shocked at the cost. The HC was pricing UA, NIKE and Addidas. Are there any other affordable brands out there?

I ordered 63 top end Riddell jerseys last year and I could not be more happy with them. We spent 6300 bucks for them, but we do not have a home field so we only had to order away jerseys.
I don't know what you are considering expensive, but 12600 for 63 home and away jerseys thatll last you 4+ years if you take care of them doesn't sound too bad.

That's a huge help...was that just Jerseys or Pants and Jerseys? Thanks.

Just jerseys. I ordered pants from them as well, just a base stock pant for $22 a pair. So that was only another $1300ish. So I think Riddell could get you outfitted for less than $15000.

Something you need to know when it comes to Nike, UA and Adidas. They rotate designs every 3-4 years. So as we all know, what happens is a kid loses a jersey, one gets ripped, mom bleaches one ect... So now its 3 years after the 1st purchase and now you cant replace 4-5 jerseys because they have removed that style. Little known fact, Rippon uniforms makes most of the NFL jersey's, they just saw on the swosh or what have you. If you want a jersey that you can replace no matter what no matter when, Rippon is your vendor. They keep your design on file FOREVER. Now it doesn't have the cool swosh on it, but its high quality and if you need to replace a jersey you can. The cost is the same as Nike, Adidas and UA. They are great people, supper easy to work with and the stuff is delivered when they say they will. If your going to spend 20-30K you want it to last more than 3 years....unless you have money to burn. You can design your own jersey, add your mascot, whatever you want. Rippon is the best around I am telling you they will make you happy.

Adidas had been running a buy one get one promotion this year. We just picked up 70 combined home/away jerseys and 70 pants for $6,300. If you buy a jersey, you get a free pair of pants. We received this deal with the Primeknit jersey. You may ask a rep if you could still qualify for this offer. Heck of a deal.

That is one helluva deal. If I didn't buy jerseys last year, I'd jump all over that.

He has to put them in the BUDGET for next season. I think the school is only allowing like 12k so its a bit restrictive. Worth calling ADDIDAS though and seeing what they can do. I know some schools in our area have licensing deals with some of the suppliers and get sweet pricing on there stuff. Anybody do that and know how to even approach a vendor for that?

Check with Kollge Town sports. They partner with schools and give teams a break on UA gear and uniforms.

We went with Riddell about 5 years ago now and have had a good experience with them. They are a quality jersey, you can feel it when you hold it, unlike some other brands that feel like tissue paper in your hands. I'm sure the brand names have good quality stuff just be careful you are getting that and not the crap they sell with their logo on it just so teams can have a brand name uniform. Have seen and heard horror stories about Nike Addidas UA stuff not lasting a year because it was the cheap stuff that's just sold so teams can wear the brand.
District up here combined three schools into one so had to get new unis, pretty quick too so that may factor in, so they went Nike and ended up with the cheap stuff with the iron on looking numbers and logos. Of course kids were all pumped up cause they got Nike but by the end of the year they were falling apart and will need to be replaced in a year or two. But hey Nike...

Love our jerseys from Boombah. Custumozable flex fit jerseys for around $55 apiece. As good or better than the name brands.
If you’re looking to go the other direction, as someone else mentioned, check into the brands that actually make the jerseys. Adidas, UA and Nike do not make jerseys, they just brand them and upcharge for the same exact jersey. I believe Powers is the brand that UA uses.

In 2015 I went to assist a former player who was HC at place that had just become an "Adidas school."
The jerseys came in way after promised (barely in time for first game, too late for Picture Day) and lettering-numbers started chipping away immediately.

The problem we are having is how the shcool does the budget. HC has to put the budget in for the following year by sept 15th. Has to be exact and then it goes out to bid and they cant substitute. TO me ... does not seem to make sense. You cant take advantage of special deals this way. Prices and style are from the previous year. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Unis thought would be a HUGE stretch. Honestly the budgeted monies for uniforms is probably adequate if they would allow the HC to do it differently. When he asked about pushing the deadline for the uniform budget back the powers that be said its always been done in Sept.

That’s insane. Can’t have a separate booster club? where I am at, that is not an option. Most of our parents are not working, and in most cases parents is only meant as the mother. I coach at one of the poorest, smallest schools in Eastern Kentucky. We have similar obstacles, and the little $ people want to give in our town goes to basketball because we live in the Bluegrass State. It’s an option but you’ve got to really hustle for that $$$!

We have these and never have a problem with the quality, or the service. We've used these for a long time, and have never had a single issue. We custom designed our last jersey and pant, and got them cheaper than a Nike top would be. I'll strongly make this recommendation as well.
