Has anyone ever given chain links during the spring? The, you dont want to be the weakest link in the chain motivational tool. How did you work it? Who gave out the links, just the head coach or all coaches? Once you gave out a link, did you ever take it back? Was this a succussful motivational tool.

I cant remember where I read it but I heard of a staff that carried the links around and would give them out to the players once they felt that they "earned" them. The idea that they used was that a player didnt want to be the last person to receive a link, so they busted their hump to get one.
I have often thought about the idea. Problem is, where do you buy individual links?

Yea, good question. I guess you would just have to buy a whole bunch of chain and chop it up in the school shop.

My college coach did this and I remember we had to have it with us at all times (except practice and or games LOL). I wanted to do this but cannot find any where there are individual links.
Any one have ideas??

We did it this year. Go to your local hardware store and they have links that you can clamp together and it makes a link. At the end we hooked them all together and had one of our injured players carry it during the game.
