Coaches,
When you conduct a fundraiser, do you have a minimum requirement for each player to raise in order for them to get any gear you may hand out?

We do a liftathon fundraiser that we attach to our spirit packs.
If they bring in $150 they get their spirit pack (I think it is a pretty good value for how much they get)
They can fundraise the money and bring on lift a thon donations from other people to get to 150 or if they want their parents can just pay it
a few parents just cut the check, most of our kids will hustle and get as much as they can from people donating... and then their parents will kick in the difference
Some of our other fundraisers we have done through companies come with an incentive program... Sell X amount of something, or get X amount of donations and you win some various prizes

We do something similar to coachbdub. Sell "X" amount of $ / items, you get your spirit pack (which includes t-shirt / shorts / practice jersey). Kids don't have to spend a dime (parents can cut check if they want, very few do).
Usually about once or twice a year, we have a parent(s) who wants to cut a check straight to the program instead of thru the fundraising program so the team gets 100% of the funds. Those are always nice!

Always... only way to get the cool gear is to participate in the fundraiser. They will all put in effort for the cool t-shirt, but not to just raise money for the program

We just tell kids what we’re raising money for. That helps. I tag our parents in Facebook posts. Sometimes kids won’t take stuff home so if their parents do know about a fundraiser then they obviously can’t help.
Also started something new with our last fundraiser, I didn’t give the fundraiser to everyone. Didn’t make a big deal about it but gave it to the kids that normally fundraise well and nothing to the kids that don’t. Wouldn’t you know it, some of the kids that didn’t get fundraiser info started asking for the info and started selling. I didn’t make a big deal about it, when I was passing it out.
