Hi guys had a quick question we are a program that has a JR & SR team with approximately 40-50 kids on the SR team (G12-10) and another 50-60 kids who come out for our JR team (G10). We have a limited number of good coaches. Last year our issue was not enough coaches at the JR level. We have since brought in more guys which is good but I am wondering how some of you that exist in this situation structure your program and practices. Realistically we are looking to: - warm up together
- circuits together
- individual time together
- split to run insertion, inside run, skelly, team
Challenges we face:
- volume of players vs skill development (80-100 players) 10-15 coaches need to ensure all coaches are effectively engaged
- SR games are on Thursday or Friday JR games are Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- how to structure effective practice sessions with this number of kids as some groups could be huge
What do you guys suggest, if you have not done this in your program that is OK as well looking to spitball ideas at this stage.
