I'm working on my purchase request for next year and this being the first time I was wondering what some of you "old timers" normally request, or what you have forgotten to get in the past. I working with a pretty small budget, so keep it simple. What are your must haves before each season?

coaches gear. you need to have nice UnderArmour Jackets to wear on the sidelines!!!! jk. Don't forget to buy belts. We made that mistake last year, what a disaster. We went thru a lot of tape before teh boosters went and took care of that mistake

I am not sure if this will apply to you or not, but being at a small school it may. The years when you have big classes coming through do not budget for the complete number of kids you expect to have come out. Budget for the number of kids signed up in spring. If you have a few extra kids come out in the fall and are short equiptment, the school can't let you go without shoulder pads and helmets. You obviously can't do this at schools of 2000, but if you are at a school of 200-500, and have the spring registraion numbers to back you up, this may work for you.
