alabama was once a great school. now it is middle of the pack.
alverez is not going to come out of retirement for a job which you actually have to rebuild the team. Miami maybe cause they have athletes.
what egg bama has on their face. price is doing so well down at utep, he is actually being talked about as making it back into a super 6 confrence.
two words for bama, mike leach. he will come for the right money.

Asa southern, at the end of the day that is the school Bear Bryant built and they will get a top named coach if it's tomorrow or 5 weeks from now.

Coach, who was Alabama's last "big name" coach? Mike Shula had never been a head coach or even coached at the college level. They got an aging Price from the Palouse, DuBose because he was a former player and assistant; Stallings was an assistant with the Cowboys who had been fired by A&M and NFL Cardinals in his only head coaching gigs, but had ties to The Bear.
So Bill Curry? Ray Perkins? The Alabama name has taken a major hit since The Bear left. Look at the number of real "big name" coaches who want nothing to do with it every time it opens.
Even Mike Riley, who played for The Bear, politely refused the job in 2002 to stay at Oregon State!
