Best bang for your buck.
I'll start.
We have tagged blitzes with "On timing" which means, from our 3-3, we just have our interior 6 or front 8 blitz on whatever cadence they've gone on most consistently. Generally everyone just goes on 1. This caused us to start blitzing less overall, and our players don't often get stuck in "no man's land" and if they happen to being going on 2 we take our 5 yard penalty and try to get it back later. This really increased our forced turnovers and didn't affect the penalties as much as I had expected.
Offensively, as a power/counter team, we got a ton out of tagging things with "sucker" and just pulling both guards the wrong way. The most effective was on a simple swing pass to the RB, which went for over 8 YPA for us.
How about yourselves?

Going to X-Over unbalanced sets. (Wing-T team). Takes a few minutes to put in, lots of headaches for the defense.

Calling plays through hand signals. There used to be a lot of conversation between head coach & QB and a lot of yelling "HURRY UP" as the qb headed back to the huddle. Everything feels a lot more calm and smooth on the sidelines, and it gives the QB more time in the huddle for things other than just calling the play

We go on first sound unless there is a "freeze" tag on. The "freeze" tag tells the kids we're snapping the ball on second sound, assuming we don't get the DL to jump. This has been great for us as a) the kids get off of the ball quicker and b) the defensive front slows down significantly the first time they get drawn off-sides. Some defensive fronts keep coming hard but we pick up a ton of penalty yardage against these units.

Outside WR on the left = L Outside WR on the right = R
They stay on those sides. No more X & Z. Too many kids got way too confused for how simple it should be.

Pretty much dropping most drop back passing. Half Roll, Quick Game Boot, and a ton of double moves to get the ball downfield.

Doing agilities as part of our warm up each day.
Putting a slide that says, "shhh...don't tell your buddies but send coach a message that you saw this slide" every once in awhile into Hudl clips to encourage kids to watch. We'll give out t's or food or...for the "winners."
Email teachers of players before, during and AFTER the season to demonstrate a year long commitment to players.
Send thank you cards to supporters.
Incentivize summer workouts. Make 10 workouts get x, 14 get y, 16 get z, etc.
If a team deserves it, do something fun (even if it's midseason). We've said something like, "today we're going to do interval training on the sidewalks. We're going to sprint, then walk, sprint then walk." We'll end up at the bowling alley where the kids are broken into teams for some fun competition and bonding.

Offense : -Flexbone Pods (GCG & OT-Slot) -Flexbone Halfline Work -“Hurry Up” vs 2 Huddles about 30 yards apart
Defense: -Repping the crap out of “striking a blow” & block down, spill, get vertical & run the hoop -Inside run vs 2 huddles almost always filmed -Secondary skeleton run fits especially vs Full House T teams -Team vs 2 Huddles & almost always filmed

Simplest addition scheme wise was an under center dive play
Added it this year... only thing we did under center
We put all the WRs to the left and went unbalanced (brought RT our best player over next to our LT.) if we were in 12/21 the FB/other TE lined up next to the unbalanced tackle on the left
Straight dive over B gap (hit outside a few times when defense collapsed inside and RB popped it
we ran this all year long on short yardage, in red zone, and at random times to just get a quick play in downhill now and catch the D off guard
we only got stopped 1 time. Otherwise we picked up a first down or TD on it... i dont recall the exact number but id say about 19/20 success rate if not higher
one word tempo call we lined up and ran as fast as we possibly could

Another one, and I'm sure many of you do this, but it boggles my mind that it's apparently not more common around here...
Any time you have a single receiver, make him run a hitch on a run play by default. Like a bunch of others, we run swing on the multi-WR side, but that takes a lot of practice to be good at. Be able to check to a slant or fade. And no, we've never had a problem running to the hitch and not getting a block. Usually our guy figures out he's not getting the ball and can turn and block fast enough, and sometimes the fade or slant are better at occupying the corner (and sometimes safety) than any block. We had an 85 yard TD in the playoff quarterfinals this year where we ran to the single WR side and the corner followed the WR about 30 yards down field before our kid started blocking him.
I don't think you even have to be a spread team for this. I don't see why a wing-T team couldn't do this, especially if your QB has only a decent arm.
Again, I'm sure tons of you do this, but it was really simple for us and gave us a huge payoff.

Nearest man to Center = 0. BASE RULES (counting from INSIDE-OUT) = C/0, G/1, T/2, TE/3. Alabama does this. Look on YOUTUBE for their video by Joe Pendry on NUMBERING DEFENSES, OR, phone me to discuss!

Going to X-Over unbalanced sets. (Wing-T team). Takes a few minutes to put in, lots of headaches for the defense. I agree completely with this... Unbalanced sets are a pain to game plan around at times. This last year, we saw a team that lived in an various unbalanced sets. We stressed that the unbalanced side was the strength call for our defense as they tossed out a ton of formations. They came out in an unbalanced formation we hadn't seen on paper, the kids set the front and passing strength to the "Y" side and we got gashed to the unbalanced side for a whole series.

Free beers for all assitant coaches after wins!! and...Having Wildcat (out of unbalanced) as a back up (for injury to starter, backup qb is never that good) or to use for a four minute offence to protect your Q.
